About Me

Making a Difference

For many years, I always kept my political preferences to myself. I didn’t tell people who I was voting for in upcoming elections because I was afraid I would be judged negatively. However, everything changed during the 2016 presidential election cycle. I supported one of the candidates wholeheartedly. Because I felt this person could make a positive difference in my country, I shared my support of him on social media outlets. I encouraged my family and friends to vote for him. I even wrote blogs outlining my preferred candidate’s strengths. On this blog, I hope you will discover the importance of publicly supporting a political candidate. Enjoy!

Tips For Working With A Notary Public

by Kirk Ramirez

When you're engaging in any kind of legal agreement, you'll need to be aware of everything you're signing your name to. Depending on the nature of the agreement, you might need to bring in a notary public as a witness. Notaries are licensed and certified professionals that you can hire as long as you know a bit of information upfront. Keep reading to learn more about notaries and how you can hire one when you need help.

Why do people need notaries?

Essentially, a notary is a third-party witness to an agreement. They're legally certified by the state, and have a personal notary number and seal that they endorse documents with, along with their signature. When a notary signs your document, they certify that they're an impartial witness to the agreement. The notary will make note of the date and will have you swear or affirm that everything is true as far as you reasonably know.

Chances are likely that you'll need to get a document notarized at some point or another. Some common reasons that people get notaries include oaths, signature witnesses for business transactions, sworn statements, Power of Attorney (POA) decisions, rent contracts, and many other situations.

How can you find a notary?

Referrals are gold when it comes to finding a notary. Ask your circle where they get their documents notarized, and put together a list of some notary publics that you can hire. Check with directories like the National Notary Association (NNA), American Society of Notaries (ASN), and other organizations. Double check their information in a state notary database, and then touch base with a notary that can help you as soon as possible.

What should you know about working with a notary public?

Organization is key, so make sure that you have all of your documents in order and safely put away. Read through everything a few times before taking these documents to a notary, so that there are no errors. Once you reach out to a notary, ask how much they charge for their services. A notary signature can cost you anywhere from a quarter to $20, so make sure to ask about their fee upfront. Many notaries offer rush services for an additional fee as well. Keep multiple copies of your notarized documents for your own records.

Use the points above and start reaching out to a professional notary public like those at Lomeli Industries LLC that can help you out further.
